Mayor Jeff Speaker called the Common Council to order
at approximately 8:00 p.m. The next
Common Council meeting will be September 18th.
No one spoke during the 15 minute segment set
aside for citizens to address the Council.
Alderman Ron Balzer led the Council in the
Pledge of Allegiance.

The motion was seconded by Alderman
Garvens and carried unanimously.

Vouchers exceeding $50,000 requiring immediate action.
3)
Resolution approving 2007 special revenue fund budget amendment requested
by the Director of Finance: increase
computer replacement fund expenditures by $66,000, for purposes of funding
administrative software selection consulting services; and authorizing staff to
execute contract documents with SoftResources LLC.

Legislative Referrals and Request for Services:
a.
Alderman Blackburn requested that staff prepare for the Finance Committee
and Board of Public Works proposed legislation and/or policy and procedures to
address claims made by property owners relative to damage caused by work
performed by contractors to the city.
b.
Alderman Nelson requested that staff prepare an ordinance for the
Legislative & Licensing Committee that place controls or place limitations upon
a convicted sex offender’s place of residence and/or place of employment in Brookfield.

The motion was seconded by Alderman Reddin and carried unanimously.
